Nepal’s Prime Minister resigned following violent protests

At least 13 people died in clashes between protesters and police in Kathmandu. The demonstrations, led largely by Gen Z activists, demanded transparency and an end to the social media restrictions. More than 200 people were injured in the unrest. The resignation has raised concerns about political stability in the region.

A powerful earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan

This happened near the Pakistan border, killing at least 800 people. The 6.0-magnitude quake caused extensive damage in Kunar province. Rescue efforts are underway, with helicopters deployed to reach isolated areas. Many homes and buildings collapsed, leaving thousands injured. The Taliban government is coordinating aid to support survivors.

The strikes resulted in at least 17 deaths across the Gaza Strip, with four additional fatalities due to starvation, including two children. The offensive has displaced many residents, forcing them to flee their homes under heavy shelling. Medical reports indicate rising malnutrition cases, particularly among children under 15, treated at field hospitals.
