Nepal’s Prime Minister resigned following violent protests

At least 13 people died in clashes between protesters and police in Kathmandu. The demonstrations, led largely by Gen Z activists, demanded transparency and an end to the social media restrictions. More than 200 people were injured in the unrest. The resignation has raised concerns about political stability in the region.

A powerful earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan

This happened near the Pakistan border, killing at least 800 people. The 6.0-magnitude quake caused extensive damage in Kunar province. Russia launched its largest drone and missile attack on Ukraine

Ukrainian authorities reported the assault as Moscow accused Kyiv of rejecting peace efforts. The attack focused on disrupting Ukraine’s military supply lines, with significant damage reported in the Zaporizhzhia region. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated openness to compromise for a ceasefire. Russia’s demands include Ukraine ceding the entire Donbas region.
